Part 3 Uninvited Guest

            A week passed without any incident, except Kate explosive anger when she was told about marriage between Amy and a son from Chen family. Her eyes almost popped out after announcement from his father.

            “Dad, do you think Chen family will agree to marry their son with Amy? Something bad can be happened if they find that Amy got pregnant before married and she even aborted her un-born child.” Kate complained with spoiled tone.

            Li Jie shot sharp eyes. Maggie held her daughter’s hand. She gestured Kate to shut her mouth. Kate pouted in silence and resented Amy for her unlucky.  Meanwhile, Amy sat with blank expression. She really felt exhausted with this tension.

            Amy drowned her attention into work. She forgot about marriage business since the company launched new products, so her team were busy with marketing plan. However, an expected calling from Joanna almost gave a heart attack.

            “Amy dear, you are so heartless. I am waiting for your calling a long time ago. You must have heard about marriage agreement from your dad, but how could you not give me any call.”

            Amy was stunned for a while. Guilty feeling flooded her heart. They had not met for five years, although Joanna often called her through cellphone. She always made work as an excuse to avoid meeting with Joanna.

            “I am really sorry, aunt Anna. I am busy with deadline at work.” Amy replied softly.

            A soft laugh of Joanna warmed Amy. “I am just joking, sweetheart. Don’t take it seriously. I just missed you.”

            “I missed you too, aunt Anna.”

            “Oh dear, are you ready to meet my oldest son? I must have warned you that probably from outside he is cold and ruthless, but actually he is warm-hearted and gentle.”

            Amy bit her lower lip. She has no words to respond the enthusiastic Joanna.

            “Sweetheart? Dear Amy? Are you still there, honey?”

            “Oh, I am really sorry, aunt. I …”

            “You must be busy, dear. I don’t want to bother you more. I will call you next time.”

            Amy want to reply, but Joanna hung up abruptly. She took a long sigh. The first meeting with her future husband is the day after tomorrow. However, she felt down when realized she could not escape from this marriage trap.

            Amy felt stressful for the past 5 days and this made her collapsed in the office. Her colleagues call an ambulance. Soon, she was brought to the famous private hospital, Shenyuang Hospital in S city.

            The doctor examined her and diagnosed gastritis caused by overproduction of gastric juices. She laid on the bed weakly. Angela, her head team wants to call her family, but Amy pleaded her. Eventually, she left the ward, while Amy slept deeply. She did not even feel disturbed by noise surround her.

            After four hours, Amy woke up and strengthened her arms. In this room, she saw a group of people wearing a white coat. She ignored it and paid attention to her cellphone. She was shocked. The sky had a dark sight. She prepared herself and bag hastily.

            “Ouch.” She fell and sprained her ankle.

            Damn stiletto! She cursed silently.

            All eyes from people in that room focused on her. Amy smiled embarrassedly. Suddenly her stomach growled. Gosh. She really wanted to bury herself into deep grave.

            Someone chuckled. Amy stood up quickly. Her cheeks reddened, making she looked very cute.

            A handsome and tall man who wearing a white coat emerged from a group of people.

            “Are you okay?” A deep voice distracted her moment.

            Amy turn her eyes over him. Her eyes widened. A man with brown eyes and delicate feature smiled friendly. She hated meeting a man with perfect face and body. The man felt her discomfort.

            “I am fine, doctor. Excuse me.”

            Amy stood aloof while was speaking. She then bowed her head and left. The man stared her back in disbelief.

            “Doctor Wu, how rude that girl.” One of doctors approached him and said it. All doctors finally came from behind.

            Ryan grinned wickedly. He was impressed by Amy’s attitude. Never in his life, he found a girl who ignored his charms. Women usually attracted to him, even they would like to throw themselves willingly. His looks, personalities, and status earned many admirers from women in any class. Upper-class families offer their daughters involuntarily while women from lower class surround him with admiration and attention.

            After finished his obligation to greet his patients, Ryan came back to his office. His cellphone rang. He smiled and push the red button.

            “Mate, do you have a time tonight? Let’s meet in the club in our usual room at 8.30 pm.”

            Ryan wanted to respond, but his caller had already hung up the phone. He stared his phone dumbfoundingly.

            At the Lotus Flower Club, at 8.30 pm, in private room 422, three standout men gathered. On the table there are some expensive drinks which can make jaw-dropping if people found out the prices. Even a private room costed thousand yuan for three hours, but they did not care since they come from prominent family.

            “So, tomorrow you will meet your soon-bride-to-be?” Jasper Liu said pretentiously. He is CEO of Anshi International Group who owns star hotels and resort.

            Theo casted cold eyes. Jasper laughed while lifted his arms up.

            “Dude, you are better watch out your mouth.” Ryan warned with a broad smile. He is a famous young surgeon who has worked in his father private hospital.

            Jasper grinned.

            “So, Theo, is she beautiful or attractive?” Ryan asked in serious tone.

            Theo sat leisurely. He lengthened his long legs.

            “I don’t know.”

            Jasper and Ryan stared each other, looking amused.

            “I think she is terrible.” Jasper shook his head many times.

            Ryan ignored his comment. He leaned forward to Theo.

            “Dude, just meet her. At least, aunt Anna will feel happy. If there is no attraction, you can tell her honestly.”

            Jasper drank his wine. “Ryan, you must be kidding. Rich daughters must be spoiled, so they usually behave arrogant and annoying. Impossible, you will be attracted, except for their looks.”

            He then murmured to himself. His friends did not utter words.

            Ryan took a sip from his glass. Likewise, he also met many rich daughters in blind dates and none of them were attractive. Neither they showed good personalities nor competence. A cute face flashed in his mind. He smiled brightly, recalling his encounter with Amy. She has a shoulder-length hair, a delicate lip, oval face, and big crystal eyes. He met many women who are more beautiful, but Amy has charms which easily drawn his attention.

               Theo averted his eyes from his friends. He also drank his wine. He really hated the fact that his father did not care about the evidences revealing his future wife. Li Qiang gave him a stony stare and left soon.

            Damn! How could his father believe Li family blindly?!

            He felt disgusted, so he even did not bother to see his future wife’s face. Tomorrow is the first time they will meet each other. Feeling more irritated, Theo drank his wine in one gulp.

            Someone knocked the door. Three men as the same time look at it.

            “Who’s that? How dare they invade our private room.” Jasper spoke as if his face looked upset.

            “Easy, dude.” Ryan calmed him.

            “Come in.” He continued, felt curios about whoever who has a gut to make nuisance.

            Two women appeared with expectant smile. In the left, beautiful woman wearing blue sleeveless dress shone with a glimmer of hope in her big brown eyes. Her black long wavy framed an oval face and white-pearls skin. Her cheeks reddened a bit, her thin lips seemed sexy with red lipstick.

            Another woman also dressed well, but the length of her dress only covered thighs and it was a strapless gown. Comparing to her companion who emanated a graceful vibe, this woman looked seductive with black-smoky eyes and heavy make-up.

            “Hi, Ryan … Jasper …. Theo…..” A woman in the left greeted them with shy voice.

            “Sharon, what are you doing here?” Ryan asked in discontented. He never really like being with that woman in a room. He also could not bear with her strong smell perfume.

            Sharon smiled earnestly. “I heard a manager told the waiters to bring drinks to your room. So, I came to say hello.”

            She recalled the conversation between manager club and his staff when she came out from bathroom. Happiness overwhelmed her, so she took Selina, her friend to catch this coincide. It has been six months since she met Theo last time. How she missed his deep voice, his masculine fragrance, and his perfect physics.

            “How are you, Theo? Long time no see.” Sharon turn her eyes on Theo who silently took a sip of wine expressionless.

            Jasper seemed did not interested in engaging with her. He was busy focusing his attention on the guide book which contained list of songs. Ryan and he knew that Sharon’s purpose only on Theo.

            Sharon bit her lip nervously when did not get reaction as she expected to. After ten seconds passed, Theo was still like an icy statue with cold aura fulfilling the room.

            “Hmmm… I think I should go back. See you next time, Theo.” Sharon decided to step back.

            “Bye, Ryan. Bye, Jasper.” She waved her hand stiffly.

            Then she went out, followed by Selina who always kept staring three handsome men all the time. Selina could not hide her attraction towards them as if they were her preys. Ryan obviously showed his annoyance, while Jasper ignored her. Theo, who sat without words, did not even stare her back.

            “Dude, I swear she really ruined my mood.” Ryan shot an irritated look to Theo.

            Theo did not utter a word. He stretched his long legs and leaned back comfortably. Jasper had done choosing his song and took a mic.

            “Theo, you should make a clear statement, so she will give up her hope on you.” Jasper advised in serious and firm tone.

            Theo let out a sigh. “I had already stated my feeling five years ago to her when I was dating Janet.”

            A heartache attacked Theo while he mentioned the name which was engraved in his memory. Three years was really hard time to endure a sudden loss. He had been through sleepless nights, lifeless days, and endless pains.

            Ryan patted his back, knowing his best friend’s hidden sadness. “Dude, how about trying to accept this marriage business? You can get rid of Sharon with announcing your future wife.”

            Theo looked at Ryan indifferently. He felt aggravated. How silly his idea was! It looked as if he was intruded by another uninvited guest. He had enough trouble on his plate. Moreover, he despises the woman who was favored by his parents.
